Before founding her lab, Laura completed her postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Edvard and May-Britt Moser at the Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology. Before that, she earned a BS from the University of New Orleans and a PhD from the University of California Irvine.
Laura’s research goal is to understand neuronal mechanisms of memory and uncover the brain’s capacity to change through learning.
Laura’s main pastime outside of work is dancing.
