Peyton is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Colgin Lab. He received his PhD from the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at The University of Texas at Austin in the spring of 2026. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. Peyton's research investigates neural and network responses of the dentate gyrus to stimuli of varying salience and ethological relevance. In his free time, Peyton enjoys training in martial arts.
